A great case for flying with Hawaiian Airlines

Why Hawaiian Airlines is a ‘destination carrier’

There was a huge turn out from the travel industry to celebrate the 15th anniversary of flying from Honolulu to Sydney at the Nola Smokehouse at Barangaroo Sydney yesterday (Monday).

Andrew Stanbury, Hawaiian Airliness regional director Australia/New Zealand, and his team extended the warmest ‘Mahalo’ to everyone gathered for their loyal support throughout the years.

“Hawaiian Airlines has played a tremendous role in introducing Hawaii and providing travellers with more options to experience all of our islands or seamlessly connect beyond to the mainland USA.”

He went on to say that Hawaiian Airlines considers themselves a “destination carrier”.

“The focus at the core of our business is entirely about understanding that our guests are leisure customers visiting Hawaii, and so everything from our food service to the up-front, lie-flat bed to the style of the service we give are built on the premise that we are here to service Hawaii and here to service guests to Hawaii,” Mr Stanbury said.

“With the addition of 10 new Dreamliners coming here in 2021 there is much to be excited about not to mention that very soon the 2 millionth customer will fly to Hawaii from Australia.”

A special presentation was made to Kathy Mainerd, who has been Hawaiian’s very loyal airport manager for the entire 15 years.

However, undoubtedly the highlight of the day, was director of sales, Karen Macmillan channeling Oprah Winfrey by presenting every guest with an American tourister suitcase.

With Hawaiian’s generous 64kg luggage allowance, another bag comes in very handy and beats chocolate macadamias any day.

Mahalo and congratulations to Hawaiian Airlines.
