5 Awesome Things To Do In Sydney This Week

By Bianka Dorman – 25 Mar 2019

After a weekend full of activities, the start of the week can seem like all your fun has just come to a screaming halt. Thankfully, Sydney has got a smorgasbord of events for you to lap up, even on seemingly mediocre Mondays.

Here are five epic things to do this week in Sydney.

All Week

To celebrate the April launch of Delta Air Lines’ two new premium cabins on the Boeing 777 flight taking off daily from Sydney to Los Angeles, a fleet of “mini-planes” are roaming around Sydney ready to take you to your chosen destination in style. These “mini-planes” are fully decked out Mercedes Benz vans set up with a luxury in-flight experience. Get ready to be treated to tray tables full of snacks, bespoke TUMI amenity kits, and personalised service from the “Captain” of your trip—a familiar American face (no spoilers.) The best part? You could be selected as one of the lucky passengers jetting off to LA this year. Click here to book your ride.

Where: Sydney’s North Shore, CBD, Eastern Suburbs
Saturday 30 March

Monday 25 March

Immerse yourself in an all-you-can-eat meat feast at Nola Smokehouse this Monday if you’re looking to kick some serious BBQ cravings. Maul your way into a meat-induced food coma as you tuck into a smorgasboard of brisket, pork shoulder, chicken, lamb and the likes.

When: Monday 25 March
Where: Nola Smokehouse and Bar

Thanks to the epic team at Chin Chin your bellies will be well looked after for the rest of winter. Yep, Chin Chin’s Curry Club will see chef Graeme Hunt cooking up a serious storm of flavours which will look something like fried squid with crispy shallots, beef rib massaman and Penang chicken curry. And before you ask, you’ll get all the rice and roti too.

When: Monday 25 March
Where: Chin Chin, Surry Hills

Tuesday 26 March

Moonlight Cinema is having a special screening of our favourite UK girl group’s hit flick, Spice World in Centennial Park tonight. If you’re looking to spice up your life, get the girl band together for a sing-along outdoor cinema session. This BYO event means that you can pack your own picnic, popcorn and bevvys. And for those of you a little less organised, there will be an onsite food truck and bar.

When: Tuesday 26 March
Where: Moonlight Cinema, Belvedere Amphitheatre in Centennial Park

Wednesday 27 March

Salute to the sun at this harbour-side hotel with prime views of the Harbour Bridge. Pier One has teamed up with Lululemon to bring Sydneysiders free yoga classes on Wednesday nights so you can stretch away those mid-week blues. Get your tickets here.

When: Wednesday 27 March, 6:30pm
Where: Pier One, Sydney Harbour, Walsh Bay
