HIDDEN ROOFTOP CAMPFIRE
Bringing the wilderness to our concrete jungle, Wild Turkey is hosting a pop-up cocktail event on a hidden Sydney rooftop and yes, by hidden, we mean absolutely and undeniably hidden. The bush-inspired sanctuary is promised to deliver real moments from the outdoors, featuring a handcrafted fire pit by renowned sculptor Dion Horstmans and a rich, camp-themed two-course menu. Ticket costs include a Wild Turkey drink on arrival and a two-course menu curated by Continental Deli with paired cocktails. Walk-ins will be accepted on Sunday from 12pm to 10pm…if you can find this wild spot. Book your tickets here.

HONOUR THE BEING
Sydney Road Galley has a new exhibition. ‘Honour the Being’ is artist Jaimee Pauls latest solo exhibit. The show features a collection of animal portrait paintings. Depicting interactions Paul has had with the featured animals, the exhibit aims to spread positive awareness of animals. Paul’s paintings depict interactions that she has had with the animals featured in her works.

117 DINING TRUFFLE MENU
Give me a T. Give me an R. Give me a U-F-F-L-E. What does that spell? TRUFFLE (sorry we’re a little excited). Senior sous chef Luke Fernley at 117 Dining is dishing up the goods with a five course truffle degustation. Each course features grated, shaved or infused black truffle. Think wagyu short rib with truffle potato puree and nutty black truffle: macadamia, malt and black truffle ice cream. Complete the meal with pairings of matching wines. Book here.

GIN CLASSES AT GIN LANE
Shaken not stirred. Master the art of cocktail making at Gin School at Gin Lane (we’ll happily do the homework for this one). Mixologist Grant Collins will take you through a 90-minute masterclass alll about gin. The masterclass will include free-flowing G&T’s (yes please), cocktail making, gin tasting and nibbles. THE FERNERY X MANLY SPIRIT CO “GINDULGE” DINNER
The Fernery is teaming up with Manly Spirits Co to bring us one gin-dulgent dinner (geddit?). The Gin dinner will feature a whopping seven-course degustation. The wonderful eats will be paired with speciality cocktails created by the team Manly Spirit Co. If that’s not enough to get you excited. TRUFFLE TOASTIE THURSDAY

The Handpicked sommeliers will be on hand to perfectly pair your toastie with wine.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY DEGUSTATION DINNER
On the first day of Christmas, the Royal Oaks gave to us a wine degustation menu. The Royal Oaks 12 days of Christmas in July is back with its annual degustation dinner. Carriageworks’ new night market is coming in hawwwt. Featuring 55 of Sydney’s leading bars, restaurants and producers, Burning Love is all about slow-cooking, fire, smoke and spice. Calling all lovers of Italian food. This one’s for you. Chef Antonio Ruggerino, Chef Federico Calvi and Michelle Walsh (who you may recognise from MasterChef) are teaming up to bring Michelle e’ Totò. An exclusive monthly luncheon in Verde’s private dining room, Totò. As the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Well, preserving queen Alex Elliot Howery will show you that you can make a whole lot more than lemonade. In this three-hour masterclass at Cornersmith, Alex will teach you how to use the whole fruit to make a range of sweet and savoury preserves. The old days of sitting on a grassy knoll cheering on your footy team are back for one day only. The annual Beer, Footy and Food Festival is back for its third year. Pack your picnic blanket and watch the Newtown Jets take on the Penrith Panthers from the grassy hill. It’s not proper footy without a few beers #amirite. Quench your thirst with one of the 20 different brewers in attendance; including Young Henrys, Wayward and Batch. There’s also plenty of food on offer, with vendors including Burgers By Josh, Inbocca and Arepa.
