There used to be a time when the idea of a romantic candlelit dinner for Valentine’s Day only really featured the food as something of an afterthought. It was all about the candle lighting, roses and moody ambience. No longer. Dating has changed, and as such, so has Valentine’s Day. Now, it’s all about shared experiences, regardless of how much time you spend gazing soppily into each other’s eyes. After all, why do that when you could be sharing the experience of tucking into a 12-hour smoked brisket or a multi-course degustation?

These are the best places in Sydney we’ve found that have the food and the atmosphere to hook you up with a memorable Valentine’s dinner, for all the right reasons.
